Shows how slow I’ve been with posting recently that it has taken me two weeks to give festive greetings. It is a new year, hopefully one better from the last for most out there and for for which I have been traditional with resolutions. Forgetting to even think of any 🙂
I was surprised, looking back at this blog, that I still managed an average of one post every two weeks, as it does not feel that way. Certainly I started on a review of the Kaweco Sport Piston Filler pen at the end of November but then hit a busy period and in all honesty, forgot. Hopefully I will complete it within the next few weeks as I still have a pen show purchase to review, at least one pen to revisit, and hopefully a few more reviews.
One of the problems is I have reached that point many other smaller blogs do, I’m not really purchasing new pens as I have reached a saturation point and as I am now early retired I no longer can go to a show and splash out without thinking about it. I still have pens to sell to reduce my collection after all. I am not staying I am not tempted by what’s out there, it is just hard to justify now as I need to feel I will use my new pens and not just purchase ‘garage queens’, err ‘pen draw princes’.
I will post an update on my desk pen set soon. I do not like doing these too often and do not know how much interest they create, especially as there are never many changes (except possibly with the last one). Certainly I have just cleaned two pens and returned them to storage.
Anyhow that is it for now. Here’s to a decent 2026.

I faced this with my blog, omlovespens and decided that I should just hold this into my main everything blog. It frees me up from thinking about pens so much exclusively and more as part of my journey. Reviews, ruminations everything else in general feels less stressful as there is no more need for a bucket.
